I'm back in the running
Over at Wizbang! they have added a category, Most Egregious Omission, and I made the list. If you feel so inclined, toss a vote my way :) I'll think up something really cool to post here (cooler than normal *cough*) if I win. No pressure, mind you!
And thanks, Captain Ed, for getting me back on the list. If you don't vote for me, vote for him!

Just took a look at your thanksgiving album. I love the "I'm blogging this" t-shirt!

What KIND of chocolate?
BTW, thanks to Ana for mentioning your photo. I hadn't noticed your albums. The turkey photos kind of scare me. But I am absolutely certain I have met you before. Your face is SO familiar.

DARK chocolate! Actually, I would love a boat ride on that chocolate river in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Note that in the book, Wonka gives Charlie a mug dipped in the luscious river. Yum!
Now I need to go make cocoa. The right way, by melting flakes of chocolate in milk over a low heat. Just like my grandmother used to make.
Mahala, I have had people tell me I have a twin somewhere. Maybe I just have one of those faces. I always thought it was unique, but who knows? I have lived in Texas all my life save for an accelerated course in Romanian for 8 weeks at UCLA. Does that help place me?

When I was little there was a place were we used to go to get churros and chocolate --really thick, rich, decadent spanish hot chocolate. I would pay real money to taste that again.

Care to buy a few minutes on my hacked vote generator?
I have the ChicagoMatic 2.01, which outputs at the rate of 2600 VPM (votes per minute). I also picked up a Floridex 700 machine at a government surplus auction in Palm Beach county; Jeb has switched Florida over to TallyWhacker technology and the Floridex 700 SegreGator is now obsolete. I'll give you a price because I like you. Trust me.

You can order these:

Needless to say, it is a pretty busy bar.

Ooh, good idea. I'm feeling severely hormonally challenged today. A little vitamin Ch may be just what I need...

Hey - how long has that Santa been flying across the Twilight sky?? I just noticed it. Very cool!

Thanks! I was behind most people in my holiday blog decorating. He has been there a week or so (I think...). :)

"...lived in Texas all my life save for an accelerated course in Romanian" ??? I smell a post coming.
I don't get to see Santa's sleigh at the Twilight Cafe. All I've seen (for awhile) is a big black empty where your banner used to be. Hmmmm.

Oh dear, no Santa. That won't do at all. What browser do you use? I will have to see what is wrong and fix that. Everyone should see Santa!
Posted by: Alicia at Dec 10, 2003 4:20:45 PM
Well, I can see Santa in my MIND... IE 5.1 on an ancient iMac. At least I've got *this* I can't even read typepad blogs on Navigator.

What doesn't make sense is that you could see the moon and the bats before but can't see the moon and Santa now. :( I'll play with some ideas and see what I can do.

Mahala, it's possible if you're on a slow link that you'll just see black until the image is loaded. Alicia, would recommend you switch from a half meg BMP to a lighter-weight PNG or GIF.

I have changed the banner to a 29K .jpg so let me know if that works better. I'll keep playing with it till it works.
