it's hot!

It has been a mild summer here in North Texas so far. At least until yesterday. Temps were above 100 F. Now usually by this time we have had 45-60 days of temps around or over 100. So I should be thankful I suppose. But it's hot now. Seems this is the time I need to be running around too, or at least find myself outside walking way too much. Perhaps I am outside no more than normal, but the heat, the oppressive heat, is reminding me how unused to this I am.

I was thinking of upping my exercise, but I also think I have lost 5 pounds in sweat alone the past couple of days. Maybe I'll just wait another week. Or two. :)

Maybe there are other ways to sweat off some pounds?

Exercise? I could not even move in temps like those. I'd be looking for a rock to crawl under. But I'll be pleading for that kind of heat when I'm frozen solid in February.

yeah, it's really too bad we can't even it all out so there is just a middle range that isn't ever too cold or too hot. Although I guess if I really wanted that I would move to California. :)

San Diego. I hear it's always perfect temps there. 100 degrees. In the old days people did nothing during hot summer days but siesta, no? AC made things more comfortable, but did away with the natural inclination of humans to slow down to miniscule motion during the summer.
